Advanced Change Leadership Institute

DIAGNOSTIC-DRIVEN CHANGE MANAGEMENT
About us

We are on a mission

The Advanced Change Leadership Institute elevates the practice of organizational change by centering it where it belongs: on human needs.  We develop practitioners who understand how individuals behave under the stress of transformation — who understand that people do what they want to do, when they want to do it.  And not before. Our mission is to build a graduate level of change leader — one who moves change through empathy, diagnostic precision, and the conviction that seeing people first is not soft. It's strategic.

Why I'm doing This

I've spent twenty years inside organizational change — not studying it from a distance, but standing in the room when it stalls.

I've watched executives approve initiatives on Monday and quietly defund them by Thursday. I've seen teams attend change management training, nod through every module, and go back to the old process the next morning. I've sat across from stakeholders who said "I'm fully supportive" and meant "I'm waiting for this to fail."
And for a long time, I did what every experienced practitioner does: I worked harder. More stakeholder analysis. More communication plans. More frameworks. PMI.  ADKAR.  Prosci. Kotter.   I had every tool the industry said I needed.

What I didn't have was a way to diagnose what was actually happening.
The frameworks told me what to do.  None of them told me why it wasn't working — not in theory, but at ten o'clock on a Tuesday night when a client is asking hard questions and needs a specific answer, not a model.

The Moment That Changed Everything

The shift didn't come from change management. It came from coaching.

During my iPEC certification, I watched something I'd never seen in fifteen years of organizational work: an assessment that could show people — with startling accuracy — how they behave under stress. Not how they think they behave. How they actually behave. I watched clients have breakthrough moments of recognition. They'd see their own patterns, understand why they reacted the way they did under pressure, and for the first time, feel confident they could respond differently.
And I thought: what if a change practitioner could see this in every stakeholder they're trying to move?
Not as a coaching exercise. As a diagnostic instrument. What if you could walk into a room where an initiative was stalling and read the forces underneath the surface — the fear, the positioning, the cultural resistance, the quiet withdrawal — with the same precision that assessment brought to individual behavior?
That answer to that question became the Change Velocity Diagnostic.

What I believe that the industry gets wrong

Most change frameworks start with an assumption that everyone wants the change. They don't. People do what they want to do, when they want to do it. And not before.

That isn't cynicism. It's the most important diagnostic insight a change practitioner can have. Because once you stop assuming alignment and start diagnosing what each person actually needs — what they fear, what they protect, what they value — you can move change in ways that create wins for everyone involved. Not through persuasion. Through understanding.
The industry teaches practitioners to plan change. I'm building an institute that teaches practitioners to see the people inside it.

What ACLi is for

The Advanced Change Leadership Institute exists to build a master change leader.  Not a beginner's certification.  Not another framework to stack on top of the ones you already have.  A diagnostic layer underneath all of them — the one that tells you exactly why your initiative is stalling and exactly what to do about it.

If you've ever felt the gap between what your training taught you and what the moment demanded, this work was built for you.
